Yarnells in Oakland CA 1920s
I'm trying to learn more about the Yarnell family who lived in my house in Oakland, CA in the 1920s.I do not know when they came to California or from where, but they seem not to have been in the San Francisco area before 1921.They seem to have lost the house during the Depression, then turned up a decade later in Los Angeles and San Diego.
The following five adults lived in my house through most of the '20s:
The following five adults lived in my house through most of the '20s:(1) Alfred Yarnell, b?, d1946 in San Diego; no occupation known, but able handyman; possibly father or brother to the 3 sisters below.

Everett, b? maiden name presumably Yarnell, d1962 in San Diego as Dolly Valery; sister to Belva; widowed "housewife" in '20s, widowed prior to 1921, apparently remarried after 1935.

Yarnell, b? ~1900? maiden name presumably Severance, d1992 in San Diego as Rececca S. Warkentin; believed daughter to Belva; widow of Jason A. (Yarnell?) and already "retired" in '20s.

Warkentin in the 1950s.The daughter would have been a very young widow to consider herself retired in the 1920s (though there were many young widows as a result of World War I), and her apparent married name of Yarnell is odd, being the same as her mother's presumed maiden name.Did she marry a cousin or coincidentally another Yarnell? Was the 1920s Rebecca instead an aunt or grandmother to Belva's daughter?
