The father of John Yarger Sr was also another John Yarger who was born in Germany. He was a Hessian Soldier and fought for the British, later turned against them and stayed in America.

I did a little research and was able to verify the story but do not have precise dates. I saw a John Yarger on a Hessian Soldier list online but the records are locked away in some warehouse back east. Unfortunately the list did not mention what Regiment but I think I can relocate the website.

All my records were lost when my computer crashed on 12-26-07 and the backup discs failed as well.

I am pretty sure I got the above information from Freida Ramos.
