My Great great Grandmother was Fanny Yardley
married to a blacksmith William Yardley they came out to Australia from Yorkshire England on a sailing ship in the very late 1800's. Two of their children died of fever on the journer. Fanny had 12 children only Hilda, Annie and grandfather George Robert Yardley survived the great flu epidemic in Brisbane in the early 1900's. My grandfather George, was born in Brisbane Queesland Australia on 4/6/1900. There is no one to carry on the family name - but we named our daughter Georgia Yardley Rappel hoping to carry on the family name. We hope and pray she has her own family and will keep the name going for the Yardley family of Brisbane Australia.
