Hi Peter, Thank you so much for the information -- it was more detailed than what I have been able to find here. For instance, I had not been able to find out what Ransclough was. There was no mention of it online or in the reference libraries -- except that it was where Wm. Yardley came from (Ransclough near Leek). I'm still not sure exactly what it is and would love to find a good, detailed map of the area. What I am looking for is information on Andrew Heath, who came to America in 1682 with Wm. and Jane Heath Yardley as an indentured servant. He served them for four years and was released with wages and 50 acres of land. It is thought that he was a relative of Jane Heath Yardley but we have no documented proof. Also, there is no information on his family -- where in Staffs. did he come from and who were his parents? There are a number of Andrew Heaths in the Staffs. county and church records but no real proven link to our Andrew. We were hoping that by studying Wm.
