Hi, My name is Alfredo Perri and I am currently doing research on my family history. One of the lines that I am tracing is that of my great great Grandfather Henry Yardley. Henry married my great great Grandmother Johanna Burls at Stanley, Tasmania on 2nd October 1902. He and Johanna had 4 children together: Elizabeth Cordelia(born 16th March 1903), Henry Edward ( born 24th July 1904), Thelma Irene (born 24th April 1906), and my direct ancestor, Leitha Sylvia (born 16th July 1908). According to his marriage certificate, Henry was 26 years (born around 1876), a miner, a bachelor and born at Captain's Flat in southern New South Wales. A cousin of mine was at one time tracing the family tree and amongst the notes that she sent me was the birth certificate of her grandmother Thelma. On her birth certificate, Henry was 34 years (born around 1872), a farmer and born at Clarence River in northern New South wales and Henry himself was the informant. There were speculations in the family that Henry had an Aboriginal connection, others said that he a Maori connection and his son Henry Edward said to my grandmothers cousin that Henry was from Italy. I have inquired to many places like the archives offices and so forth and gained no further information. I have tried variant spellings of his surname and again nothing. If anyone out there knows anything about this Henry Yardley please let me know, it would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time. Alfredo Perri Notify Administrator about this message?
