I am descended from Elizabeth Yerde, who married Thomas Fromond. They are both buried in the Lumley Chapel in Cheam Surrey together with Elizabeth's parents, John Yerde (d 1449) and Anna. I just did some digging and found that John was using a shield quartered with the Courtenay arms, which probably means that his mother is the Courtenay heiress you are referring to, who married John Yerde Sen. I have been finding references to them on the net, and am willing to send you what I have found so far.
John sen was based in Kent, and was Sheriff of Kent 1400/1. Contact me at
(PS I haven't got any further back yet, but I have only just begun)
