I dona't know if this connects, but maybe. I believe that one of my relative, Carrie Silbernagel married or had children by a Yarber. Carrie was born in far NE Louisiana, but may have spent some time in TN---as I think I remember one of her kids being born in TN. Carrie, the daughter of an ex-slave Charity Dunmore, and Sam Silbernagel, an immigrant Jew--was lynched in Monroe, Louisiana in the early years of the 20th century. Her children went to live with her brother, Eugene Silbernagel after her death---and his descendants seem to think that they (Carrie's children) were Eugene's as they assumed the Silbernagel name. I'm fairly certain that these kids were Yarbers, and think they are noted as such on the 1900 census. I will take a look. Please contact me at shirleyroot2@yahoo.com
