I am a Yantis descendant who heard vaguely of the outlaw Yantis as a child in Texas in the 1930s. I have seen the web account and have viewed the Yantis reunion video. My question is: can you provide any date of birth for the murdered William Yantis? Or his place of birth? Do you know where he was living prior to going into the Oklahoma Territory? Any dates of birth (or ages) for the three children? It appears from the Oliver Yantis material on the Web that he was 29 years old when he was killed in 1892--is that correct? Any additional information on William II (the older brother of Oliver: where he lived, when and where he died, and so on. Any additional information on William III (the son of William II and nephew of Oliver Yantis. I have some scattered Yantis family genealogy that might help to place the murdered man in the family line if more information is available.
