James Lapsley Yantis was the son of Enoch Yantis and Eleanor Wolford.
Eleanor's parents were : John Wolford,born Dec.22,1774 in Albemarle,Va. Died July 26,1848 in Liberty,Casey Co.,Kentucky. And Mary Jane Lapsley,born Dec.15,1777 in Albemarle,Va. Died Jan. 30,1816 in Adair Co.,Kentucky.
This where his Lapsley name comes in.
