The following is a excerpt from a letter written by my Great Great Grandfather Worthington A. Larsh to his wife (my Great Great Grandmother) Priscilla (Yantis) Larsh. He was attending the university in St. Louis and she was at home in Lafayette County, Missouri.

"...I heard from your Uncle Jesse a few days ago from a Kentuckian, he was well & family. Your owe(?)cousin Harvey Yantis in Lancaster, a merchant, who is highly spoken of. My love to all, your Ma (also Priscilla Yantis widow of John Yantis)...."

Sound familiar to anyone?

Jerry Garrett
