In response to Nancy Crawford Spallinger's posting of April 27, 2001---
Regarding John Yant, born 1805 who married Lydia Jolly. My information is this John Yant was the son of John Yant born 27 December 1752 (died 7 May 1842)who married Mary Eva Shuster who was born 13 July 1762 (died 7 December 1842).

The elder John Yant is buried at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Monroe Township, Carroll County, Ohio with his wife. Their headstones are very close to the low tablet that marks the location of where Zion Church once stood. Nearest the entrance to the burial grounds.

The John Yant who married Lydia Jolly had his name spelled Yent in the marriage record (4 January 1827, Stark County, Ohio)

Do you have anything linking Melchoir Yant's wife Catherine Shuster born Baden Baden c. 1740 with either Daniel Shuster or Eva Shuster who was the wife of the elder John Yant?
