Hi, My Great Grandmother was Leila Annie Yandle born in 1883 in Somerset. She married Jack Randall on 17 May 1905 at Cothelstone Parish Church, Somerset. Her father was a James Yandle of Yardford, Kingston, Somerset. There were two James Yandle's living in the house at the time and I haven't been able to work out precisely which one was her father. The information from the 1881 British Census information is as follows: 1st Entry: Dwelling: Yarford Census Place: Kingston, Somerset, England Source: FHL Film 1341570 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 2369 Folio 133 Page 13 Marr Age Sex Birthplace John YANDLE M 61 M Kingston, Somerset, England Rel: Head Occ: Ag Lab Mary YANDLE M 61 F Bishops Lydeard, Somerset, England Rel: Wife Occ: Ag Lab James YANDLE U 28 M Cothelstone, Somerset, England Rel: Son Occ: Ag Lab 2nd Entry: Dwelling: Yarford Census Place: Kingston, Somerset, England Source: FHL Film 1341570 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 2369 Folio 133 Page 13 Marr Age Sex Birthplace James YANDLE M 26 M Bagborough, Somerset, England Rel: Head Occ: Ag Lab Ellen YANDLE M 29 F Norton Fitzwarren, Somerset, England Rel: Wife Occ: Ag Lab Wife Emma YANDLE 7 F Kingston, Somerset, England Rel: Daur Occ: Scholar Richard YANDLE 5 M Kingston, Somerset, England Rel: Son Occ: Scholar Walter YANDLE 3 M Kingston, Somerset, England Rel: Son Reginald YANDLE 6 m M Kingston, Somerset, England Rel: Son Richard REED 77 M Wiveliscombe, Somerset, England Occ: Ag Lab Their ages are 2 years apart. Cothelstone, Bagborough and Kingston are all within a few miles of each other. I suspect that my Gt. Gt. Grandfather is the one in the 2nd entry as my Gt. Grandmother called 2 of her children Ellen and Walter but that's just a guess at present. Hope I'm not breaking the rules in any way by publishing the census extract! Regards.
