Mrs. Harper,

I noticed in your post that you mentioned Yandles being buried in a Ritch Cemetery at Indian Trail, NC. What can you tell me about this cemetery?

In a posting I just made on this board, titled "Adam Yandle, NC, Confederate Soldier" I mentioned a possible connection between the Ritch/Stearns and Yandle families. Dulin Stearns, who wrote the 1862 letter I mentioned in the post which referred to Adam Yandle, was the son of Valentine Stearns and his wife Olivia Ritch. I know nothing farther back on Olivia Ritch other than she was probably born around 1803, and her father might have been named John. I seem to have a vague recollection though of being told once that she was from Indian Trail.

I would be most grateful if you could tell me anything you know about the Ritch Cemetery.

Best Regards,
