We are Yandle, but the first settlers in Mecklenburg County, NC seem to be Yandell. Does anyone know about when the spelling got changed? I know there are still both surnames today and most, if not all, connect back to the original four brothers who first came to NC.
I'd love to hear from as many people as possible on this question. Please post your reply to the board so everyone can see your responses.
