James Gill married Grace Elizabeth Yandell in 1858, St. Paul’s Bristol
(My grandfather and grandmother). James Gill came to the U.S. and entered the Nebraska National Guard after becoming a citizen of U.S. Then entered the U.S. Army where he rose to Major before retiring at Fort Hamilton, New York. He died in Aug. 1940.
