David B. Yandell and son James Park Yandell

I'm searching for information to verify the relationship between David B. Yandell, b. 1790, and his son James Park Yandell, ca 1807.

David B. moved with his family from NC to TN.

James P. married Lockey Meador and they moved to IL and then on to Cassville, MO, where he is buried.

I've tried to link these individuals (outside of "The Early Yandells" book, and have been unsuccessful. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.
