I am trying to figure out what became of the family of my GG Uncle. I have him on the 1900 Census in Hamilton Co., TX near his brother (my G grandfather) William Rufus Yancey. Both brothers were born in Caswell Co., NC, sons of William YANCEY and Damarius R. OLIVER. They also had an uncle named Albert Gallatin YANCEY.

After 1900 I cannot find any record of Albert Gallatin YANCEY, his wife nor any of his children. In 1910 his brother's family had moved to Dripping Springs in Hays County, TX.

Albert Gallatin YANCEY's family in 1900:

1900 Census- Hamilton County, TX. ED 87, page 153B, sheet 8B.
Albert YANCEY 50,
Georgie L (wife) b. MS - 26,
Minnie B. 9,
Bessie M. 7,
Willie A.(m) 6,
Bertha May 4,
Very (?)(f) 2,
Elma N 2/12,
Alma B., 2/12 (Elma and Alma were 2 month old twin girls.)
Albert's brother's family:

1900 Census, Hamilton County, TX, Pct 7, ED 87, page 153B, sheet 8B.
YANCEY, William R., head, Aug 1847, 52, M 6 years, NC, NC, NC, sheepraiser, can read & write, Owns farm free & clear

TIMMONS, Lillie F., niece, Feb 1881, 19, S, TX, Unknown, TX, none, can read & write

I would like to find out what became of this family and perhaps find some descendants of these 7 children.

Thanks, Carol
