Hi Peggy,

My name is Bill Yalch of Pittsburgh Pa and my Mothers' name is also Peggy.
My grandfather was one of eleven brothers and sisters. When my great grandfather came to the United States his name was also changed from Jalc to Yalch. It is nice to find out that there are Yalch's in Texas, (even though there is a good chance that you are Cowboy's Fans).
I haven't done much research on the Yalch geneaology, but I do know that I am of Carpathian Russian descent. Most of the Yalch's in Pittsburgh came with with many other Eastern Europeans to work in the Steel Mills.
I'm curious to know if your decendants made any stops on the East Coast before going to the Lone Star State.

Bill Yalch
