I am Peggy Yalch Long. My father was Michael Jack Yalch, b. Sept. 30, 1907, d. Oct.10, 1981. He was born in Strawn, Texas.
His father was born Stefan Jalc is Austria in 1875. The name was changed to Yalch when he came to the U. S. He married Maria Hadvabuy, October 20,1902 in Kosjov Austria.
Their children were;

John, Andy, Mary (Sipsock), Mike, George, Joe D., Anna (Yell), Kate (Westbrook), Dorothy (Mc Cann) and Helen (Cox)
They lived in Strawn, Texas except for a short period of time they lived in Bridgeport.

Stefan worked in the mines here and in Austria.

I am looking for anyone researching the YALCH surname.
