I am researching the Yakey family in Loudoun county, VA, trying to find out more about the Simon Yakey house, near Lovettsville. The datestone on the house says it was built by Simon Yakey in 1838, and census records list him there in 1840, and he died in 1846. I know his son Martin (d. 1845) married Amanda Russell and their children's names, but that's all. I suspect Martin inherited the house because an 1853 map shows the house labelled "M. Yakey heirs". Do you have any other info?
