Yes there is likely a connection. I have much information on the Schell's (~600 pages) but am not that familiar with what I have - It was inhierited.
The fifth child listed here was Peter. Is it the same?
Marcus Christian (Mark) Schell was buried at Bardwell Cemetery, near Lexington, Michigan, USA. He was born on 22 Sep 1770. He died in Jun 1845 at age 74.
He had 12 children.
Children of Marcus Christian Schell and Delilah Casler were as follows:
* i. David; born at Markham, Ontario, Canada;22 died at Lexington.23
David was killed on the Wild Cat Road, 3 miles west and 1 mile south of Lexington.
* ii. Michael; born at Markham, Ontario, Canada.
* iii. Delila; born 8 Feb 1795; died say 1861.
* iv. John; born circa 1801.
* v. Peter; born 16 Oct 1802;28 died 5 Jul 1886 at age 83.
He had 12 children.
* vi. Frederick; born circa 1803 at Markham, Ontario, Canada.
* vii. Marillis Margaret; died 1885.
The year of death is questionable. Mary had children by Henry Hebner well after 1885. Is 1885 the DOD for Dr. Cook? Or are Mary Elizabeth and Marillis Margaret two different people? She was also known as Mary Elizabeth Schell.
* viii. Eve.
* ix. Nancy.
* x. Mary.
* xi. Catherine.
* xii. Michael; born DINF.
