My uncle William Yahn Johnson, was named after grandma Johnson's great uncle William Yahn who faught in the Civil war and lived to be 107. They put him up at the front of the parades
because he was the last living veteran of the Civil war
in Berks County, PA. Incidentally longevity seems to run
in the family. My Aunt Inez who lives with me and was the last of the family to see grandma's great uncle will celebrate her 101st birthday this Aug. 11th.
