Most of my family was born in Louisiana. My grand father's name was John Wysinger, who married my grandmother Lula Golston. No one knew where John came from. Only that he or his parents were slaves. All I've found out so far is that my last name is German and that there are African American and Caucasion with the same last name, spelling exactly the same. Does anyone know of any African American German's? Wysinger is not a common name and there must be a connection somewhere. I'm looking for that connection. Can any one out there help me.
