Barbara, I will look at what you have said and see if I can fit it in anywhere.
But I must not leave your last paragraph uncorrected, as follows.
1. There is no, and never has been, a "baronet of Wynnstay". The Sir John Wynn of Wynnstay, to whom you refer was the 5th baronet of Gwydir.
2. Sir John Wynn of Wynnstay died childless and the baronetcy of Gwydir was extinguished on his death.
3. Sir William Williams 2nd baronet of Glascoed married Jane Thelwall, who was of Wynn descent but never was sheheiress of Sir John Wynn of Wynnstay. It was William and Jane's son, Watkin Williams, who inherited the vast Wynnstay Estate from Sir John Wynn and as a condition of the settlement, took the additional Wynn name.
