I have a copy of a letter in 1862 from T.Allen to Mattie (Martha)Burns Winn and Edwin Winn (Wynn?) Esq. to Allendale GA. post office (which does not exist today). The handwritten notes on the side of the letter indicates that this place was down between Belton and Alto (which would probably be somewhere close to Banks County GA - above Lawrenceville). The notes also said there was a relation (father or husband??) of James Charlton Allan.
I'm trying to find the Burns/Winn/Wynn/Allen/Allan connection. Any info appreciated. Will give you details of the letter by e-mail if you wish.
