Col. George C. Wynkoop photo (possibly)

Recently I purchased a gorgeous Civil War era photo on ebay. The photo is a reprint of a wet glass slide and depicts a seated Union officer wearing tall leather boots and behind him standing is a woman; presumably his wife.

The ebay item title of the photo included the name "Wynkoop". I emailed the seller and asked who is or was "Wynkoop". To date, the seller has not replied so I did a little research and found out that there was indeed a Col. George C. Wynkoop, 7th Pennsylvania Cavalry during the Civil war.

Is anybody aware of this photo? I'm thinking this is a photo of none other than Col. G.C. Wynkoop and his wife, Mary Ann (Walker) Wynkoop. I haven't received the photo as of yet, but I can tell you it's stunning. In the meantime, however, I do have a copy of the photo as it was posted at ebay.

Thanks.... Mike, Muncy Valley, PA
