Hi, I'm looking for information on Wynkoop W. Dickey, b. abt. 1840 in Pennsylvania but lived the rest of his life in Maryland, primarily the Baltimore area. His parents were John W. Dickey and his wife Martha, both of Pennsylvania. The information I have on the family from the 1860 Somerset County, Maryland census is as follows: Page 111 Free Inhabitants in Tyaskin District, in the County of Somerset State of Maryland, enumerated by me on the 26th day of June, 1860 Samuel Meaton(?) Ass't Marshal. Post Office: Tyaskin 22 794 763 John W Dickey 55 M W Teacher 1000 200 Pennsylvania 23 Martha " 49 F W " 24 Winkoop W " 20 M W " 25 Anna E " 16 F W " Attended School 26 Thomas M " 14 M W " Attended School 27 Samuel " 12 M W Maryland Attended School I'm hoping someone can tell me how this family is related to the Wynkoops of Pennsylvania, and what Martha's maiden name might be. (Actually any information you can give me would be a big help, as I really know very little about this family at all. They don't appear in any of the published Wynkoop genealogies.) Keeping my fingers crossed. All my best, Chris Wynkoop Wayne, Pa. Notify Administrator about this message?
