I have a copy of the will of Henry Erswell Wyndham. It seems to have been written in 1632 at Bassabore, Gulf of Persia. He is a "Commander in the Honourable East India Company's Naval service on their Bombay Establishment". I just got this will today and it is very difficult to read but it looks as though he had two daughters Caroline Elinor and Eilan Elizabeth in 1632. I am interested in him because I am researching the Erswell family. My g grandfather's brother was named Henry Wyndham Erswell and I have often wondered about the significance of his Wyndham name. The parents of Henry Wyndham Erswell and my g grandfather Charles Sherman Erswell were from London and their two oldest sisters were born in London. The family emigrated to Ohio in 1834. Erswell is such an uncommon name that I think there must be a relationship here.
