Hallo Cedric,

Many thanks for you information.

I have no connection with the Wyndham family.
My interest was Constance Primrose and her
connection with the name Dalmeny.

Since posting the first message in July, further
research has shown that she was the second daughter
of Lord Dalmeny, a title name of the Earl of Rosebery
and his family.
Unfortunately, this has failed to shed any light on
the use of Dalmeny as a SURNAME which I have been unable
to find any reference to prior to about 1895, and these references are still unconfirmed.
Interesting, there is reference to a Dalmeny Clan in the Tartans Register but I have been unable to find a history
of the Clan or its families Dalmeny(Fiddes) and Dalmeny (Wilsons of Bannockburn)

Sorry if you have been misled about a Wyndham connection

Sincerely.......Don Dalmeny
