Wyllie Family Genealogy Forum

I have what my husband refers to as a map carrier. This item belonged to a Hugh Wyllie. He had his name inscribed in the lid. I never knew this gentleman, but know that he apparently was a friend of my deceased stepmother's family. It is my understanding that my father and stepmother provided a home for him in his later years. I believe he probably passed away in the late 1960's, or somewhere thereabouts. He would have been an elderly man at that time. He lived with them, Jim and Hazel Wilson Webb in Calgary, Alberta. There is also an address inscribed in the lid of this map carrier. I won't be monitoring the Wyllie message board, but if there is someone out there who feels that this gentleman might be related to them in some way, I would be happy to send this item to them. It has no meaning for me and I know how very much I would appreciate receiving anything that belonged to one of my ancestors. If you KNOW that you were related to this man and can give me reason to believe so, let me know via my email address: clairek@ktc.com As I said, I have no reason to monitor this particular board however I will check the box indicating I be notified if someone responds, but your best bet might still be to contact me directly. Hope I can find the rightful owner of this item.
