Am new to this site and have just read you thread from last year. Have been researching my Wylde ancestors for some time. Have traced them back to Derbyshire in the 1700's but during the latter half of the 1800's a lot of them moved to Manchester. James you have referred to is a distant ancestor being a cousin to my great great grandfather Horatio. He moved to the Isle of Man in the 1880's leaving his family in Manchester and set up as a Dentist. He died in 1891 and was taken back to Manchester by his Daughter Mary Cordelia for burial. The census reports I have for him list him as a Chemist/Dentist. Don't know how far you have moved on but hopes this helps
