I too have been researching the Wineland/Wyland/Weiland/Wieland family starting with a John in Germany and have been somewhat confused by some of the research being published. In particular, a WFT submitted by bluwolf really has me confused ;-). Most of my information came from the Johannes Heinrich Brumbaugh and his Descendants book by Gaius Marcus Brumbaugh and from the Wineland family bible.
