Hello Wyland researchers! I have new data that substaniates the surname as originally being WIELAND. Received a will from Lancaster County, PA for Peter Wyland. He died 1759, will in german language, Wieland translated as Wyland in will. Also found court records in Rockingham Co., VA that makes all other Peter & Barbara Wineland info obsolete. It is totally incorrect according to records, name being Wieland, not Wineland. Peter never married anyone but Barbara Hagey/Haga. If more info is wanted, contact me at my e-mail address.
