Wineland/Wyland Germany/Indiana

I am having a confused time with the name Wyland. My cousin has put out a few copies of a Wineland/Wyland book, and she states that our Wyland was WINELAND originally, possibly from Germany. She has looked up records for Wineland and included them in her book, naming Peter Wineland/Wyland as our forebear. I am not disagreeing with her work, but would like the opinion of others who may have ran across this. Also, does anyone have a will for Peter Wyland naming his sons? I am searching for the parents of John Wyland (Wineland) born 3 Sep 1807, PA married to Mary Christian 6 Nov 1828 Dark Co., OH. They lived in Elkhart Co., IN by 1837, before that in Mercer Co., OH 1829. Was in Indiana by 1831, possibly Floyd Co., before going to Elkhart. Would appreciate any comments or solutions.
Christina
