Florence, I found an old posting of yours from 1997 but the e-mail address was no good. Do you, or anyone else, know anything about Susan White born about 1835 of Stone Valley area of Lower Mahanoy, who married someone named Wyland? Her parents were William White and Eleanor Smith. They are in the 1870 census in Ferguson Twp, Centre, Pennsylvania, with their youngest son, Sanford White, and there are two little boys, James Wyland age 8 and John Wyland age 6. They are probably the children of Susan White Wyland, but I don't know what happened to her or to her husband. I am mainly interested in tracing the White family, but if you have information about the Wyland's in question, I would appreciate that, too.
