CYNTHIA ANN FINCH was born in Chatt County, Minn., June l8, l857, and
died at her home in Eden Township June 5, l9l5. Deceased moved with her
parents to Decatur County, Iowa, in l866, where she has continuously
resided until her death.
She has united in marriage to MARTIN STILL, June 2, l874, and to this
union were born l3 children, 5 of whom have preceded the mother to the
great beyond.
She is survived by her aged companion and 8 children, who are J.W. and
E.M., of Davis City, MRS. ETHEL WYLAND, of Shamrock, New Mexico, MRS.
SARAH VANDERPOOL, of Leon, LEONARD STILL and MRS. VESTA ELSTON, of Davis
City and PEARL and JESSIE at home, also l5 grandchildren. Three sisters
and five brothers and a number of other relatives and friends mourn her
loss.
Deceased united with the Baptist Church about the year l875 and has
lived a Christian life, been a true and loving companion, a kind
mother. Her death is sadly deplored by all who knew her, as her friends
were numbered by her acquaintances. The funeral services were held at
the New Salem Church, Tuesday, June 8, conducted by Rev. Dale, attended
by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. The body was tenderly laid to
rest beside her children.
