Not all that long ago, there was an article in our newspaper about Wyland, the artist. It featured a photo of him with his mother.
Now I wish that I had saved the article. His last name is Wyland. If memory serves me correctly, he was from OH/ ILL/or IN. The article stated that he did not grow up by the ocean. I too have attempted to contact him to no avail. My brother-in-law is a big fan of his artwork. My brother-in-law also does marine art.
I also wonder how and if the rock musician, Scott Wyland is related.
