I have just begun searching for my family history. My ggrandfather was John Doc Marion Wyer, and my gggrandfather was Jacob Wyer. My dad recently told me that one of his grandfathers (or ggrandfathers) was run over by runaway horses. With your information, I would have to agree that it probably was Jacob Wyer. I would love any information or pictures associated with this side of my family.
