Hello Sherry. Very interesting. What is it you would like from me? I am very curious about your lengthy source and citation list for what amounts to the Martin family research that I [too] have conducted. In fact, your list is practically verbatum my own source and citation list from my personal research these last 30 years. In fact, your source list includes my own typographical errors and my own personal insertions for example, on the History of the Willamette Valley my typo "18850" after Himes & Lang, my own personal insertion "[sic]" at 'Little Town on the Willamete[sic] River', and my typo using a brace not a bracket in "Jefferson County Iowa birth records (1844-66) {LDS microfiche 61004304];". A year or so ago, I shared with someone a comprehensive four-page, single-spaced list of my sources and citations for my Martin research up to that time. Also within the last few years, I submitted a full copy of my research including notes and sources (totally over 100 pages) to the Jefferson County Iowa Genealogical Society through Vera Baird, and to several other Iowa Gen Societies, and more recently to the Lane County Oregon Genealogical Society. I say all this because I wonder if you may have a copy of my work or were you the person to whom I sent my four page comprehensive sources and citations list (or did you received it from someone else?) I am not addressing that you have my data nor am I addressing that it appears you are stating this is your work. Rather, I am most curious if you are truly the Martin Family researcher you are inferring you are (by providing the exhaustive bibliography), if so, then you are most certainly a kindred spirit and I want very, very much to dialog with you on this family. For instance, your source list infers you have located Thomas and Selina Martin in the 1900 census, I would like very much to ask you where they were in that census (State, County, ED and SD, and page number); Have you located Selina's death date, place and burial? If you are the Leach researcher your list attests you must be, what do you have on William's parents and siblings? What more do you have on James and Rachel's children George and/or Thurza? What more do you have on James Martin's parents and siblings and on Rachel's family and siblings? Since you are a Wycoff descendant, what more do you have on the children of Wm and Sarah? I would like very much to flesh out the Wm and Sarah (Martin) Wycoff family group. Are you in contact with any descendants of William and Sarah Wycoff? I am most happy to exchange information if you are willing to share. However, I do like to see a researcher's work more accurately and appropriately credited. Thank you for your contacting me. I look forward to your comments. Vicky Notify Administrator about this message?
