Note: He was baptized September 17, 1699. He moved from Monmouth County, N.J. to Middlebush, Somerset County, N.J. about 1723 and with his brother Abraham purchased five hundred and twentyfive acres of land on the north side of the Amwell Road. He built a log house. He was a member of the consistory of the Reformed Dutch church in New Brunswick in 1752 and he was elected an elder. He raised wheat.
