Is anyone else researching this family? I don't know a whole lot about them and would appreciate some help.
Peternella Wyckoff, daughter of Cornelius Wyckoff and Geerje Van Arsdalen, was born between 1689 and 1696. She married Jeremyas Vanderbilt, son of Aris Janse Vanderbilt and Hilletje Remse Van der Beeck, 11 Nov 1715 in Flatbush, Long Island, NY. He was born 19 Oct 1695 in Flatbush and died 1750 in Somerset Co NJ. They had 6 children:
Jeremiah Vanderbilt, b ca 1716, d 14 Nov 1785, m Sarah Van Brunt
George Vanderbilt, b Dec 1718
Hilletje Vanderbilt, b 1721, m Lucas Van Voorhees
Maria Vanderbilt (my ancestor), b 9 Sep 1723, d 1766, m 1742 Frederick Van Leuwe
John Vanderbilt, d 1780
Peternella Vanderbilt, b 1727, m Johannes Martinus Van Harlingen
