I am searching for descendants of Benjamin Jackson Wyche b. 3/25/1823 in Virginia. He died in Brazos County, Texas on 6/10/1883. His children were: Dora, Mahala, Mary (Mollie), Charlotte, Frances, Hugh M. Louis Hubert, Benjamin Jackson Jr. b. 12/27/1861, Emma Isabella and Elizabeth Alice b. 1868. Some of this family migrated to Leon County and Comanche County, Texas. Some lived for a while in the Gustine community. If anyone has contact with his descendants please let me know.I think that Benjamin J. Wyche was the son of William Parham Wyche and Elizabeth Person Turner. William P. was the son of Benjamin Wyche and Elizabeth Mason. That Benjamin was the son of another Benjamin Wyche and Elizabeth Peetey. That Benjamin was son of George, son of Henry Wyche (b. 1/27/1647 Sutton, England, son of Henry Wyche and Ellen Bennett). If anyone can connect our Benjamin J. Wyche with the Benjamin J. Wyche who was the first Librarian at Univ. of Texas, at Austin about 1897-1903, I'd sure like to know about their relationship. I'm guessing some type of cousins, but haven't figured it out. I'm trying to write a book on the Thompson Creek Cemetery in Brazos County, TX and B.J. Wyche b. 1823 was buried there.
