Alice Wyche Lon, the Original Chanpagne Lady on the Lawrence Welk Show, was born in Cooper, Delta County, Texas in 1926. Later, Alice and her family moved to Rusk County, Texas in a little community called Jacobsville located about half way between Henderson and Kilgore in Rusk County on Highway 259. I knew Alice's father but only knew him as Judge Wyche; I think he was a Justice of the Peace. Does anyone have anything on her ancestors? She died in 1981 in Dallas, Texas. I am related to the Wyches who married into my Hunt family.
