Batt Wyche (1767 - 1819) married Mary Jarratt (1771 - 1817) 29 Sep 1789. I have no records of a daughter Rebecca. If she was born after 1819, she is not Batt's daughter. Batt had three sons. 1) George stayed in GA. 2)Robert Devereaux went to TX. and 3) Col. John Scott Wyche who went to Madison County, FL.
On 26 May 1845 in the first FL statewide election, Madison County, Precinct 4, Cherry Lake, the election inspectors were Scott W. Cray (Batt's grandson & my GGgrandfather), Leroy G. Lesley and John S. Wyche (Batt's son).
The 1850 Madison County, FL Census:
Wyche, John 39 GA
Hannah 30 GA
Margaret 11 FL
Lucinda 9 FL
Mary 6 FL
Henry Poole has John's 1st wife as Emily Attaria Louisa Lampkin (1813 - 1835) and two children by this marriage; Mary Elizabeth (1831 - 1841) and John Lampkin ( 1833 - 1841). Hannah Lawson McIntyre was John's 2nd wife.
