A little more info about Hartville. The town still exists and old timers and others are still there. The town of Sunrise is gone now. In the late 70's very little remained of Sunrise but in the 80's it was completely dismantled. Because of the underground mining it was collapsing into underground openings left by the mining operations. A relative of my husbands' was killed in an accident at the mine in 1930's. Another thought the mine was owned by the Rockefeller family so some info about mine and Hartville area could be with their archives.
Also, Hartville is very well known for an Italian restaraunt. Many people of many national origins use to call Hartville, Sunrise and Guernsey home.
the road south of Manville to Hartville was in process of being completely paved in recent years.
