Franklin, a followup to the previous, in the 1920 census, Washakie County, Wyoming, Election District 1, Wm. D. Goodrich had a J. W. Childs, stepfather, and another J. W. Childs, mother-in-law, age 73, living with him.The copy I saw is not very legible but it appears like the "mother-in-law" was born in Missouri and the given name does not appear to be J. W. which is likely an error but it doesn't look like Martha either. If you can find a clear copy (maybe on Ancestry.com), you might be able to add some information. The "mother-in-law" would suggest that it is the mother of William's wife but then stepfather doesn't make sense.
