Sweetwater county is very desolate and sparsely populated. It was on the route of the Oregon Trail so many would stop and then go on to CA or further west. When uranium and oil and other minerals were discovered many who tried to farm then turned to those occupations. During the 1930's there were a lot of sheep farmers in that part of Wyoming. My Dad worked for a man chasing wild horses and selling them to the government. There are now towns of size in county that have museums and such. Notify Administrator about this message?
