The Legend of Billy Williams is still a topic of conversation in the Upper Green River valley north of Cora, WY.
Billy was murdered in Nov 1899 near the Kendall Tie Camp. During my research I discovered he was buried after the spring thaw at the little cemetery west of La Barge, WY. Although a marker is found in the burial ground just south of the Kendall Forset Service camp Billy's remains were removed that spring at the request of Retta A. Elston who at the time of her death was recognized as Retta A. Williams.
