Your Cheyenne Outfitters was Western Ranchman Outfitters--a store that started with western clothing and necessary rougher clothing for ranchers on 16th Street in Cheyenne, Wy. It was owned by the Veta family (Johnny). When Johnny wanted to retire, his family did not want to continue the business, and so they sold to a subsiary (I think) of Gander Mountain who closed the store and had a small warehouse that was diffficult to get to with clothing in it, gradually changing to hunters and hikers, etc. apparal
and then, it too, closed. The old building on 16th street is now owned and operated by Wyoming Home--a place to obtain furniture and decorating needs for a western home or cabin. The only operating western store in this area is the Cowboy Corral and the Wrangler, both owned by the same company. Hope this helps. Sharon.
