From Feb 16 1984 Wyoming State Tribune page 2. Alphon C. Mendenhall,81, dies Wednesday at Depaul Hospital. Born in Buffalo Ill. He lived in Cheyenne for 1 1/2 years. He was a retired superintendant of schools. Survivors include a son James A Mendenhall of Cheyenne, daughter Peggy L Brunkhorst of Colorado Spings, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services and burial in Versailles Mo. Hope this helps. Tracy
